Had a wonderful meeting with Peggy, Robert and Nev. I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderfully talented team of artists working on the music and post-sound for "Requiem For Herstory". Peggy is an accomplished singer, composer and teacher who owns and operates The Peggy Still School of Music in Atlanta, GA. She brought Robert Thompson, a brilliant ambient, experimental, avant-garde musician and recording artist, and Nev Walker, a talented audio engineer to the project. I'm looking forward to working with them all.
US Army Shoot
Friday, 09 October 2009 00:23
I shot for 8 days with the Army. The shoot allowed me to get up close and personal with a variety of heavy duty Army vehicles. From shooting Apache helicopters landing at the Georgia Ports Authority (from the bow of a shipping vessel) to flying in the cockpit of a C-170 performing rapid offload maneuvers, I can truly say, that I did more before 9 AM than I usually do all day. "A Man About A Dog"
Monday, 21 September 2009 00:30
I shot this film with a team of good friends for the 48 Hour Film Festival. As the name of the festival implies, we had 2 days from concept to completion. We won the "Audience Choice" Award. It was a wild, sleepless ride, but amazing fun.
HD EXPO NY
Thursday, 17 September 2009 00:26
I had the opportunity to attend the HD EXPO in New York. It was a somewhat modest event, but featured some big names showcasing some new gear. It was worth the free ticket. It was interesting to see the Canon 5D Mark ll truly decked out. Kinda reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite, sportin' it for the prom. I also had the chance to put my hands on the Weisscam HS-2. It shoots 2000 frames per second at 1080p and records RAW and HD 4:4:4.
Requiem For Herstory
Saturday, 29 August 2009 00:00
Requiem for Herstory wrapped at the end of August. It was a long shoot, but we made it though til the end. i'm really pleased with the footage shot and some of the minor miricles that occured during the shoot. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with such a great crew. Most of the kind folks saw it through from beginning til the end. It's difficult to fully express my gratitude in words for that kind of dedication. I hope that the final product will make everyone proud. Now on to Post-Production.
